What is the Stroke Group Network?

As the UK's biggest stroke charity, we want to make a bigger difference to the lives of more people affected by stroke. We want to work even more with people and communities who share our passion for ensuring that stroke survivors and their loved ones get the support they need.

We know how vital it can be for people affected by stroke to connect with others who share a similar experience as they adapt to life after stroke. Across the UK passionate and dedicated group leaders run over 600 support groups, bringing people affected by stroke together.

Our Stroke Group Network is a community of stroke support groups across the UK. The network supports hundreds of group leaders so they can be there for people affected by stroke in their local area. From structured group sessions to informal cafe meet-ups, it brings together all types of groups.

Not only can the network help group leaders to share experiences, learning and ideas, it can also offer practical tools, resources and information to help you be a leading source of support for people affected by stroke. Whatever type of support you offer, you're making a vital difference to the lives of people affected by stroke. And we know that running a group takes plenty of energy, time and dedication. That's why we're here to help.
